Biography
Jean-Boris Lacroix (1902–1984) was a French architect, interior designer, designer, and painter, and an iconic figure of the 20th-century avant-garde.
A true jack-of-all-trades of modernism, he left his mark on the world of design and interior decoration through the geometric precision and timeless elegance of his creations.
Eager to reflect the social and technological changes of his time, his lamps, furniture, and objects demonstrate a constant quest for balance between function and aesthetics, innovation, and clean lines.
As a member of the UAM (Union of Modern Artists), he helped shape the postwar industrial aesthetic with clean, geometric lines, creating new forms and experimenting with new materials.
