Biography
Maurice Barilone
A non-conformist Italian designer, Maurice Barilone has been cultivating a passion for sculptural objects for many years. « An object is not a dead thing: it conceals an element of magic that I need to bring out. For me, a piece of furniture is first and foremost a sculpture where balance responds to imbalance », he says. Collaborating with Roche Bobois for 30 years, he is notably the creator of the Fleur de Fer collection, which has sold over 22,000 units since 1991.
