										Biography
Auguste Moreau, born on February 22, 1834, in Dijon and died on November 11, 1917, in Malesherbes, was a French sculptor.
Auguste Moreau belonged to the Moreau family, a dynasty of sculptors from the 19th and early 20th centuries. He was the son of Jean-Baptiste-Louis-Joseph Moreau and the younger brother of sculptors Hippolyte Moreau and Mathurin Moreau. His children Louis Auguste Moreau and François Hippolyte Moreau also became sculptors.
Auguste Moreau mainly produced bronze artworks. Several of his works are kept at the Museum of Fine Arts in Troyes and the Museum of Fine Arts in Bordeaux.
